In an age of rapid information and theological diversity, seeking clarity from the Bible itself is more important than ever.
Recently, I engaged in a deep, structured conversation with an AI assistant—one designed to strictly reference the King James Version (KJV) of the Bible when asked. The aim was to examine foundational beliefs through the lens of Scripture alone.
A Clear Framework
Before we began, I established a boundary: all responses when addressing “Bible” must come strictly from the King James Version with no outside commentary or interpretation. This safeguard helped ensure theological integrity and kept the discussion centered on what the Bible says—not on what others assume it says.
Exploring Foundational Beliefs
We touched on several important doctrines that many Christians—and especially Seventh-day Adventists—hold dear:
- The Sabbath
Exodus 20:8–11 affirms the sanctity of the seventh day. The Bible is clear: the Sabbath begins at sunset Friday and ends at sunset Saturday. - The Mark of the Beast vs. The Seal of God
In Revelation 13 and 14, the Bible contrasts those who receive the mark of the beast with those sealed by God—described as those who “keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.” - The Investigative Judgment
Daniel 8:14 speaks of the cleansing of the sanctuary after 2300 days. Applying the prophetic day-for-a-year principle, this aligns with the beginning of a heavenly judgment phase in 1844. - The State of the Dead
According to Ecclesiastes 9:5, “the dead know not any thing,” and 1 Thessalonians 4:13-17 describes them as “asleep,” awaiting resurrection. This view stands in contrast to many modern assumptions.
A Study Partner, Not a Substitute
Tools like AI can serve as helpful conversation partners—but they are not substitutes for Scripture. My theological foundation is shaped by the Word of God first and foremost. This conversation reaffirmed how Scripture stands on its own as the ultimate authority.
Final Thoughts
Whether you’re a seasoned Bible student or just starting your journey, always go back to the text. The King James Version, in its timeless language, continues to illuminate God’s truth. As Proverbs 2:6 says:
“For the Lord giveth wisdom: out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding.”
📖 Don’t just take someone’s word for it. Open the Bible. Study it yourself. And when in doubt, ask the Bible.
